A Time For Everything

“You are still growing and learning where you are”

SCRIPTURE: Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

VERSE FOR TODAY: There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens:

“For everything, there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.” Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

In our lives, we all go through different seasons. Some of us are dancing because we have gotten answers to prayers. Some of us are in that mourning stage, we are struggling and we keep asking God when will this waiting end? When will I see the light at the end of this tunnel? When will I get to dance and rejoice? As people, we always want to know when we want to make plans and decisions on how everything will go for us but that is not up to us. God says in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plan to prosper and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” God shows me all the time that this too shall pass. No matter what season you’re in right now enjoy it. Even if it’s a mourning season you can enjoy it because you know that you’ll be able to dance and be excited to see what God has done in your life in your situation. There is always a reason behind the waiting. We think we are ready for this next step or next lesson and God says wait, I’m not finished here yet, you’re not ready yet, you are still growing and learning where you are. So enjoy the waiting, praise Him in whatever season you’re in right now and know that this is a part of His plan.

Prayer thoughts:

Even in this season, she will remember just how far God has brought her and all of the beautiful things He will continue to do and even in the subtle things, she will see progress she will find beauty. She will see His hand in everything. For she knows He is working and she is growing, and He is still leading her where she needs to be.” -Morgan Harper Nichols
