TAKE ME BACK

"IF YOU FEEL YOU'RE FAR FROM GOD, GUESS WHO MOVED"

SCRIPTURE Revelations 2:1-6

VERSE FOR TODAY: Revelations Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love -Revelation 2:4 (KJV)

John told the church of Ephesus, "Thus saith the One who holds the seven stars in his right hand. He also walks among the seven golden lamp-stands. I know your works. You were living out your faith, you were faithful and steadfast, you were patient and wouldn't tolerate fake Christians, and for God's sake, you labored and did not faint."

You would say this church had it going on, but sometimes we get so busy working for God doing all the right things but find ourselves dry, lacking that overflowing joy we had when we first excepted Christ.

John said, "You left your first love." I can identify with the saints who hold fast to the doctrine of Christ and have to say, " Take me back to the place where I first received You."

Do you need to be refreshed? Then, ask the Lord to take you back to the place where the only thing that really mattered was pleasing him (Jesus) and sharing Him every chance you get.

Prayer thoughts: Lord, we need a refreshing that can only come from you, mold us and fashion us into the people You want us to be. Restore our fire in Jesus' name. Amen
